Kati Mäkitalo博士是教育学教授，目前担任芬兰奥卢大学教育学院院长职务。她的研究领域主要是早期学习与早教。她曾先后在东芬兰大学、芬兰于韦斯屈莱大学、德国路德维希马克西米利安大学、慕尼黑大学和慕尼黑工业大学担任教授和研究员职位。在欧盟地平线2020项目 “eCraft2Learn – Making Computer-supported Artifacts from Scratch”中，她负责教学开发“WP3 领导者”。Mäkitalo教授还主持过由芬兰科学院资助的课题 “为21世纪的学习实践培养师范生：思维方式和工作方式”（TULOS项目，2014-2017年）。她所领导的研究团队，曾荣获最佳论文奖、最佳海报奖以及最佳研究与实践项目奖。她的研究重点是师范生的学习，尤其是对师范生运用ICT以及TPACK / TPB去进行教与学时的态度研究。此外，她的研究还涵盖以下主题：协作知识和共享理解的构建，探究式学习法，寻求帮助的过程，集科学、技术、工程、艺术、数学多学科融合的综合教育，创客教育，营造有利于学习的环境和氛围，以及在不同教育层面上运用信息和通信技术去创新教学实践等。

Dr Kati Mäkitalo is Professor of Educational Sciences, especially focusing early learning and teaching at the Faculty of Education in the University of Oulu. Professor Mäkitalo acts as a Dean at the Faculty of Education. She has been working as professor and researcher positions at the University of Eastern Finland, University of Jyväskylä in Finland and Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and Technical University of Munich, in Germany. In the EU Horizon 2020 project she was in charge of pedagogical development (WP3 leader). Mäkitalo was a consortium leader of the research project entitled PREP21 – Preparing teacher students for 21^st century learning practices: Ways of thinking and working funded by the Academy of Finland (TULOS-programme, 2014-2017). She has been leading research teams, who has received the best paper and poster awards as well as the best research and practice project award. Her research focuses student teachers’ learning, especially attitudes towards using ICT in teaching and learning as well as technical, pedagogical, and content knowledge (TPACK/TPB) of student teachers. Further, her research covers topics such as, collaborative knowledge and shared understanding building, inquiry-based learning approaches, help-seeking processes, STEAM, maker education, designing supportive learning environments and innovative pedagogical practices using ICT in different educational levels.
