Mu-chou Poo received a B.A. in History from Taiwan University in 1975 and Ph.D. in Egyptology from The Johns Hopkins University in 1984. He is a Professor of History at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research interests include society and religion in ancient Egypt and China.
